Two-Seconds To Help Save Citizen Journalism

I believe in the discovery of purpose. When I receive messages from our members across all ages about how our small yet significant events helped guide their business decision or how an introduction opened more doors for them or how hanging out was a lot of fun, the effort and energy that we invest into growing Girls in Tech as a community is highly rewarding.

Today, that sense of purpose that fuels all our behind the scenes work and effort takes a greater form. I’m calling on all Girls in Tech members, the tech and media communities to please help us help Rachel Sterne save citizen journalism. It is easy, simple and will take two seconds of your time!

1. Register on Neo.org
2. Search for “Rachel Sterne” on Neo.org
3. Click the link to “Take up this Personal Declaration”
4. You’re done!

GroundReport is in the running for a $20,000 grant from Neo.org. Every penny of the $20,000 grant will go towards funding citizen journalism projects for a full year– no CEO salaries or the like. But to win, GroundReport needs the most supporters by December 1st.

GroundReport has been a vehicle for democracy and free speech. Through the voices of 3,000 global reporters we’ve watched Tibetan freedom protests at the Beijing Olympics and American voter experiences in the historic 2008 election and more!

Thank you for your help!
